A section on the relation between Yeats and Pound offers passing comment about Yeats’s assimilation of the nô, and chapter 5, ‘Artificial Lives’, though devoted to larger aims, constitutes the best general account available of the influence of Yeats’s understanding of the nô on American verse drama, in work by Stevens, Eliot, and Jeffers (see CA7, 10, and 11).
