Includes lines about Pound’s first meeting with Kume (Ap), Kume’s dancing of the tennin in Hagoromo (see 76e), and quotation of and comment about a key line from Pound’s version of the play, which eventually found its way into canto LXXX (56e): ‘“Doubt is of mortals, with us there is no deceit” /  . . . / . . .
